This trend hit the Japanese design scene with a strong impact which was at a vacuous state after the war and thereafter, greatly influenced the Japanese typography.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\"Transition of Modern Typography Europe \u0026amp; America 1950s—'60s\" includes the works from these 2 exhibitions along with bibliographic sketches of the designers.\nIn the process of publishing this book, we received much cooperation from designers and numerous others, especially Mr. Ikko Tanaka, Mr. Shutaro Mukai, Mr. Kiyoshi Kanai, Ms. Chiharu Fujiwara and Mr. Katsuhiro Kinoshita.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe thank them again for all their help.
