(From the publisher) 'Azimuts is a design research journal founded in 1991 by post-graduate student researchers at the Sant-Étienne Higher School of Art and Design. A unique publication in the design editorial landscape, the magazine constitutes both a place for reflection, exchange and criticism on contemporary design issues, as well as a field for experimentation and graphic and typographic research.
The Azimuts magazine collects the points of view of personalities from the world of design, culture and research in general. The issues are organized around thematic files relating to design and more generally to material culture or its criticism. The 'Varia' section welcomes non-file contributions and the 'Anthology' section allows you to discover or re-discover texts and documents that are difficult to access (either out of print or never before translated into French). The 'Reports' section is a space for free criticism of current design research and publications in the field.
The Azimuts journal was ranked in 2009 in the List of journals for the Arts field of the Agency for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Aeres).'
