(Rector's Foreword) ' I am delighted to introduce the graduates of 1992. Our greatest asset at the Royal College of Art is the original and creative work of our students. Each year we are able to display the evidence of this in our Degree Shows.

This year we have more students graduating from one year than ever before and we have divided the Degree Show into three parts. Part One contains the work of students in Illustration, Information and Technical Illustration, Natural History Illustration, Knitted Textiles, Printed Textiles, Woven Textiles, Embroidery, Painting, Printmaking, Photography, Tapestry and Visual Islamic and Traditional Arts. The opening of Part Two of the Degree Show will coincide with the opening by Sir Alan Bowness of the new Sculpture Building in Battersea and contains the work of students in Sculpture and Bronze Casting. Part Three contains the work of students in Animation, Architecture, Ceramics and Glass, Computer Related Design, Conservation, Degree by Thesis, Design Management, History of Design, Fashion Knitwear, Fashion Womenswear, Fashion Menswear, (fashion courses all on video), Furniture, Graphic Design and Art Direction, Goldsmithing Silversmithing Metalwork and Jewellery, Holography, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Industrial Design Engineering and Vehicle Design.
