About: (FEP blurb) "This magnificent book is a collection of outstanding trademarks from all over the world, compiled by Yusaku Kamekura, one of Japan's most prominent designers. Leading designers from every design conscious country submitted examples of their work, and the 763 examples shown here were chosen from some 2,000 entries. The volume includes an important preface by Paul Rand. Yusaku Kamekura (who is well-known as the author of an earlier book, Trademarks of the World) has tried to arrange the items so as to create a sense of rhythm which enables them to stand with the minimum of text as a visual essay in an international language. The trademarks and symbols are reproduced in colour and black and white, and in some cases as many as six colours have been used. The result is both an impressive record of international-design achievement, and a stimulant to graphic designers, advertisers, and all business men who see trademarks and symbols as an important branch of advertising and publicity."

Includes work by many eminent graphic artists of the time; Paul Rand, Saul Bass, Primo Angeli, Walter Ballmer, Lester Beall, Joseph Binder, Max Bill, Studio Boggeri, Brownjohn Chermayeff and Geismar, Erberto Carboni, Wim Crouwel, the Design Research Unit, Olle Eksell, Fletcher Forbes Gill, Piero Fornasetti, Karl Gerstner, George Giusti, Franco Grignani, F.
