(Text)'Icograda was founded in London In April 1963 to raise internationally the standards of graphic design and professional practice by all practical means. It arranges the collection and exchange of Information on professional, educational and technical matters assists the interchange between countries of designers, teachers and students; organises exhibitions, assemblies and congresses on graphic design and visual communication technology. It acts as an international forum for co-operation and exchange of views between designers, organisations representing professionals from allied and other fields and those of commerce and Industry, Icograda encourages the better use of graphic design as a means to improve understanding between people everywhere. Details of icograda's extensive activities are shown on the reverse side of this poster.'

'As of January 1966, 28 of the world's leading graphic design associations from 19 countries and one international organisation are members of Icograda. Its work is conducted by an Executive Board elected at biennial General Assemblies at which each member association is represented. The Executive Board is assisted in its work by specialist Commissions, study groups and project chairmen from various countries.

Grade A: items are in excellent condition for their age. They are clean and display bright colour(s), show no sign of loss, and minimal creasing or other imperfections. Grade B: items are in good condition for their age. They are generally clean, yet may present minimal tears or loss, creasing folds and pin holes. Grade C: items are in poor condition for their age. They may suffer from soiling, fading or discolouration, in addition to more significant tears, loss, creasing.
