The book contains separate sections on poster design, press advertising, direct mail, trademarks and house-styles, letterheads, packaging, TV and film advertising, new typefaces and book jackets.
The recently introduced new section on postage stamp designs includes a comparison of graphic designs for specific subjects, International Women's Year, the Olympic Games, The 200th Anniversary of US Independence and the Anniversary of Bell's Telephone.
A comprehensive index provides the names and addresses of the designers and studios who contributed with their work to this year's edition, thus providing a standard reference book for all those whose work is connected with advertising, publicity, publishing or design education.'
