The Pirelli 1970 Calendar (also known as "The Cal") was photographed by French photographer Francis Giacobetti.Shot on location in Paradise Island, Bahamas, it featured models including Alexandra Bastedo, Anak, Paula Martine, and Pipa. The overall Pirelli Calendar series was originally conceived by British art director Derek Forsyth (who oversaw early productions starting in 1964), but Giacobetti is credited as the primary creative force for the 1970 edition — he also shot the 1971 version.

Their condition is ranked A to C, which include further sub-classifications of plus (+) and minus (-) in each case (e.g. A-, A, A+). Items are supplemented with a high-resolution image, and any specific/significant flaws highlighted. They may suffer from soiling, fading or discolouration, in addition to more significant tears, loss, creasing.
