The LinoTypeCollection continues this tradition. The typeface sample collection brings the designer into contact with the world-renowned Linotype typefaces as well as with a number of typefaces licensed from other manufacturers.
The LinoType Collection is made up of 6 volumes covering 1600 typefaces in 8 classified groups each one colour coded - Old Face, Transitional, Modern Face, Slab Series, Sans Serif, Decorative and Display, Script and Brush, Black Letter and Broken. Each typeface weight is shown on a separate loose-leat sheet in sample settings of the most frequently used sizes, with different leading and spacing. The leaves can be taken out of their respective boxes, copied and compared with one another. Typefaces can be evaluated for their feeling and expression.
