In 2016, to mark 500 years since Thomas More’s Utopia, artist Jeremy Deller and graphic designer Fraser Muggeridge collaborated on a limited-edition book translating the original text from English into More’s proposed Utopian alphabet. Accompanied by images sourced from Google searches for “utopia,” including bands and clubs, the book complemented their geometric typeface, freely downloadable and featured across Utopia 2016’s visual identity at Somerset House.
