Original 1963 magazine press advertisement.

(Text) 'The goal of every Gothic type design - uniform color through exact balance of each letter form - is at last attained in Helvetica. Every letter and symbol in this exquisite and softly rounded Gothic stands in harmonious relation to every other. In body text and in display, in light face, in bold and in italics, absolute color consistency is maintained line by line and over the entire length of the page. The chronic illness of "holes" and "clumping" which results from certain letter combinations in other faces is overcome in Helvetica; and the meticulous uniformity of Helvetica assures that this desirable effect will prevail from size to size and from weight to weight. In using Helvetica designers will not be forced to the expedient of letter spacing or text manipulation to achieve evenness of tone. In its spare simplicity, its utter legibility, its uniformity and its flawless color, Helvetica embodies and conveys an esthetic satisfaction which will outlast the vicissitudes of fashion. Regular, Italic, Medium and Bold; specimen sheets on request.'
