DED is an organic gro-bag of green-sprouting creativity, surging forward with an unquenchable appetite to innovate, experiment, push and adapt. From print to product to multimedia and broadcast, DED's commitment has seen the company shoot into every corner of the creative sphere (if spheres had corners). The result is a Jack-and-the-Beanstalk barnstorm of commissions from MTV, MasterCard, Nissan, The (Millennium) Dome and the unnamed. TRAVEL SICKNESS' is far from a simple retrospective of DED's successes. Drawing inspiration from the messiness, violence and beauty of the world around them together with the writings of Stephen Jones, DED have unfurled their vision and planted something new. This is a singular project born from new ideas, conceived from old ideals. The illustrations convey the fragmented thoughts of Jack as he takes an unwanted journey. Often dark, sometimes humorous. STEPHEN JONES was brought up in England, Wales and New Zealand. He is the musical black sheep 'Babybird'. His achievements have included nine albums, one Top Ten Gold Album (UK) and nine Top Forty singles (UK). In his teens and into his twenties, before making music, Stephen wrote many short stories. Some of these have inspired the writing of 'TRAVEL SICKNESS', and his first novel 'The Bad Book'.
