Compact exhibition catalogue published for a solo retrospective of Dutch designer Piet Zwart (1885–1977), titled "Typotekt" (a neologism blending "typography" and "architecture," reflecting his fusion of text and form). Catalogued as SM No. 257, it documents Zwart's groundbreaking work in modernist graphic design, emphasising his De Stijl-influenced typography, photomontages, and industrial layouts from the interwar period onward. Zwart, often called the "Dutch Moholy-Nagy," trained under J.J.P. Oud and Frank Lloyd Wright, pioneering functionalist ads for clients like PTT and NKF in the 1920s–1930s. The exhibition highlighted his avant-garde experiments amid a post-war revival of Nieuwe Zakelijkheid (New Objectivity), positioning him as a bridge between De Stijl and international modernism.
