(Introduction) '3 Minutes is the second publication from non-profit organisation Designers Against Human Rights Abuse (DAHRA). Contributors for the book were invited to translate 10 x 3 minutes long audio interviews using primarily typography, in order to try and capture their essence. The interviewees themselves were asked the question "What are the 3 minutes that changed your life?" And the answer to these questions were then translated over 16 pages in the hope of shedding light on the issues faced by the people of Tibet.
Ultimately the premise of this book was to take 10 interviews, the microcosm, and to juxtapose them in order to paint a wider picture of the Tibetan plight, the macrocosm. This book also marks our continued support and collaboration with Tibet Relief Fund with all proceeds from the book once again going to them. We would also like to thank Katie Mallin at Tibet Relief Fund for all the hard work and time she spent helping us organise the interviews and without her tireless efforts this endeavour wouldn't have come to fruition. These interviews can be read in their entirety in this booklet.
