Speak #6 (Summer 1997) was the final issue in the short-lived run of the influential alternative culture magazine Speak. Edited by Neil Feineman and published by Dan Rolleri, the magazine maintained its eclectic mix of long-form interviews, fiction, essays, and features on art, culture, politics, and youth lifestyle. While David Carson provided the groundbreaking experimental typography and chaotic yet energetic layouts for the early issues (including the debut #1 from Spring 1996), design duties later shifted toward Martin Venezky, who applied his own distinctive visual approach. The magazine ran for a total of six issues between 1995/early 1996 and mid-1997. It was never a strictly scheduled publication, appearing irregularly, which explains why it only reached issue #6 by Summer 1997 before ceasing.
