Organised as a dual modernist presentation, the 1959 joint exhibitions at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam brought together the distinct works of Dutch master Bart van der Leck and French Cubist Henri Le Fauconnier. Running simultaneously through early April, the dual showcase juxtaposed Van der Leck's progression toward primary-colored geometric abstraction against Le Fauconnier's expressive, structural paintings that profoundly influenced early twentieth-century European art. The accompanying promotional materials were designed personally by museum director Willem Sandberg.

They may suffer from soiling, fading or discolouration, in addition to more significant tears, loss, creasing.
