Nest: A Quarterly of Interiors #10 was a distinctive issue of Joseph Holtzman’s influential independent interiors magazine, published in New York in Fall 2000. Known for rejecting conventional ideas of luxury and good taste, Nest presented extraordinary, eccentric and highly personal living spaces alongside art, photography and design. Issue #10 included features such as “Liberace’s Taste,” examining the flamboyant interiors of Liberace’s Las Vegas residence. The issue was notable for its unusual plastic zipper cover/slipcase, giving the magazine an immediately recognisable physical presence. As with the best issues of Nest, it combined adventurous editorial content with inventive graphic design and production, making it an important piece of early-2000s independent design publishing.
