The Masters Series: George Tscherny was a major retrospective exhibition held at the Visual Arts Museum (School of Visual Arts) in New York City from October 6 to 23, 1992. The exhibition honoured the Hungarian-born American graphic designer and educator George Tscherny, who received the prestigious SVA Masters Series Award. It showcased roughly 180 of his iconic works, spanning four decades of visual design. The display featured everything from corporate identity programs and postage stamps to institutional advertisements, highlighting Tscherny's disarmingly simple, witty, and elegant design philosophy.
