Bruno Monguzzi: A Designer's Perspective (Issues in Cultural Theory 2)
(Preface) 'It has been a pleasure for me, as we prepared for this exhibition, to explore and experience the depth and breadth of the work of Bruno Monguzzi. When Franc Nunoo-Quarcoo approached me about this exhibition, I was interested, but had not had the opportunity to fully explore Monguzzi's work. It is Bruno Monguzzi's ability to take the photographic image and synthesize it with typography as a complete and natural entity that makes his work outstanding in the contemporary practice of design. He encages the viewer to "read" the information as one image in the midst of many internal dialogues. These dialocues, dramatized in his careful constructions of the visual elements, form the spirit of the works. It is this spirit that propels Bruno Monguzzi to be a great visionary.'
