(Foreword) David Chandler, Projects Manager, introduces the first issue of the Institute's new broadsheet magazine inIVA Review. "The twin themes of definition and communication have been central to the Institute's activity and internal debates over the last three years and are also the driving force behind this issue of the inIVA Review. The need to celebrate three years of intense activity and to look forward were important factors but the overriding impulse and concern was towards something which would offer a new 'space' for the Institute that might more effectively contain and represent the fluid and discursive identity that it has taken on".
