Avant Garde correspondence letters; one dated May 1971 from Joel Blickstein (Circulation Director) to Mr Edward S. Sheldrakes addressing his concerns about sourcing future issues of Avant Garde, and one follow up letter dated March 1972 from Virginia Cunningham (Subscriber Relations) providing guidance on how Mr Sheldrakes can fulfil his order – which carries the following (and fascinating) statement: "In reference to your 20 bulk order subscriptions..... as you may have heard, since Avant-Garde's publisher was ordered to prison last month - in connection with the controversial EROS magazine case - publication of Avant-Garde has been temporarily suspended. Therefore we are not registering any order."
