About: Very scarce portfolio book published by the legendary design studio Minale Tattersfield, ex-stock from (for those old enough to remember) Michael Peters & Partners. Profusely illustrated throughout with advertisements, packaging, identities, interiors, etc, designed by the studio from 1968-1970.
(Foreword) "In our last book, published some two years ago, we said that the next one we did would be devoted entirely to packaging. Well, as you will see, it hasn't worked out quite like that. Not that we haven't done a lot of packaging. For Harrods alone we redesigned around 400 different food packs. It's just that we've also done many other interesting jobs which we felt we'd like to include in this book. We still continue to work, either direct with industry or through advertising agencies, on a great variety of commissions ranging from complete corporate identity programmes, product development and packaging, to all kinds of promotional material, editorial design, exhibitions and interiors. Our work continues to get awards and to be featured in all the international design magazines, but the thing we hope comes across most from the work reproduced here, is the one thing we specialise in - the solving of problems.”
